About the Artwork: Panel built from cut, sanded, and deconstructed images.
The background of the panel is painted with a pigmented lime paint on which are superimposed cut-out elements belonging to the floral, spherical, statuary, bestiary (donkey, swallows), and architectural domains, constants that can be found in my other panels, like a personal alphabet.
For this series, a common dominant is symbolized by a Provencal jewel.
Here is a harmony of complementary warm colors, in shades of burgundy, mustard, gray, green, and ochre.
The panel is illuminated laterally by a soft and suave light.
The main character is represented by a melancholic and luminous female bust and a gray donkey from Provence.
