About the Artwork: On the pretext of the singers’ finery, the painter declines chromatic partitions with, in the background, nimbés funds of undulating blues in the crescendo of the colors. The secret of the faces is reduced to the simplest outline and just crowned by the hair. The gracefulness of the play of colors suggests a poetry of balance and harmonious fullness.
